At the table today we painted with water colors. It was fun to see what new colors were made when mixed together, it was also neat watching the water turn colors in the cup. We did our predictable story again today where we got to select a farm animal and tell what animal they selected and what color it was. The kids did such a great job waiting their turn in our large group!*Tomorrow is "Touch-A-Truck" at Recreation Park in Raymore from 10:00am-1:00pm. They will have emergency vehicles, military vehicles, construction vehicles and many more. There is no cost but will have giveaways and concessions.

We had a first wonderful day back after such a long break! We made a sun collage with yellow and orange craft items and lots of glue! We read the story "I Went Walking" and made a predictable chart after selecting an animal from a group. We enjoyed the playground for a short while and had fun throwing balls over the volleyball net in the gym.
*Don't forget the PTA pancake breakfast is tomorrow morning from 7:00-8:15! We did color mixing at the table today! We picked two primary colors and then predicted what color it would change into when the colors were mixed together. We mixed our colors with Q-tips. We practiced asking a friend to play while playing with basketballs in the gym. Have a great break!
**REMINDERS** No School March 17 - 21: Spring Break No Early Childhood classes March 24 - 25: Teacher training We had such a great day today! We used puff paint to make clouds on paper today. We put blue food coloring in the puff paint. The kids made predictions about what would happen to the puff paint when we added the food coloring. We had a picnic outside with our snack today. We ate animal crackers on the shapes in front of the cottage. Ask your child what shape he/she sat on during snack!
We did free journaling at the table today. Some of us drew pictures or copied shapes and letters, others had fun sorting and naming the colors of the crayons. At circle we are reading Old MacDonald had a farm. We are continuing to work on naming the farm animals and the sounds they make. This is something fun and easy you can do at home with your child.
