Happy Tuesday! So sorry I missed this yesterday! Today was a great day. We glued shapes onto paper today, played with beach balls in gym, went through the obstacle course again, and played with big blocks, cars, and in the kitchen. I hope everyone has a great break. Travel saf

At the table today we laced the straws we cut yesterday. We were unable to go to the gym today due to the Thanksgiving lunch so we made an obstacle course in our classroom. We walked on a balance beam, walked across "river rocks" over a "bridge" through a tunnel, jumped off of a "mountain", rolled over a log and crawled under a rainbow of arches. Enjoy your weekend and we look forward to seeing the kids for a short week next week.
We played in stations during gym today! The kids were able to bowl, use scooters, hula hoops, and big bouncy balls, throw bean bags in buckets, and jump on the mats. We cut straws at the table today to work on scissor skills. Tomorrow we will lace them.
At the table today we put stickers around the border of circles and squares. We had fun listening to a story on CD called "Driving My Tractor." We practiced asking a friend to play during centers. During snack we had graham crackers, each child got to choose between a square and rectangle and then count how many they had.
We started learning about shapes today! We made shapes with play dough and read a book about shapes. Later in the week we will be going on a shape hunt around the classroom. You can help them practice this at home. Make it a fun game by searching your house for different shapes, such as circle table, square book, rectangle cereal box, etc. ENJOY!
